Dear Boris,

We took you for shots yesterday and the vet said that we should expect you to be weak and listless for a little over 2 days but here you are, already chewing your pad like a madman. I thought I would have 1 more day of chill.

We should be thankful for your quick recovery, especially since the vet noted that you exhibited symptoms of trauma with your last doctor. You refused to be held closely and yelped even before the needle touched you.

We are slowly adjusting to your schedule as well. It’s a different routine to plan schedules and meals around yours. For the holidays we brought you to a house of screaming kids and we didn’t stay till midnight because we thought you would be scared of the noise. You weren’t, though, and we watched the fireworks through the window on the 23rd floor. It was good.
